Dao Yin Of The Spine

In the Chinese Daoist art of Yang Sheng( 养生 Nurturing Life) there is an old proverb “You are only as old as your spine”. Dao Yin of the spine is a series of gentle spine stretches and movements designed to open up each of the 22 vertebrae. It gently increases the spine’s range of movement, flushes the spine with fresh Qi, releases stuck nerves, develops greater awareness and relaxes the entire central nervous system.

Dao Yin Of The Twelve Meridians

Attaining health in Chinese medicine is the art of bringing the body, mind and spirit into balance. To restore and maintain balance Qi must be allowed to flow through the body unimpeded. The meridians are the channels on which this life force flows, passing through the depths of the organs to the tips of the toes and fingers.  Dao Yin of the 12 meridians is a series of gentle stretches designed to open and “flush” each of the body’s meridians enhancing vitality, immunity and longevity.
