Dawa Raphael Che
At the age of 14 Dawa began his love affair with rock climbing. Preferring Mount Arapiles and the Grampians to the school classroom, Dawa joyfully strayed from algebra into the world of physical movement, challenge and expression. Leaving the back yard crags of Australia he climbed further afield in Thailand, Spain, England and France, where he encountered his second mistress ... Juggling. Having a very demanding nature, she forced Dawa to abandon all other pursuits and so in 2007 he graduated with a Bachelor of Circus Arts (NICA).
After a year of working professionally as a freelance artist, Dawa went on to extend his skill set at the 'Beijing International School of Arts'. In 2009 he embarked on Le Lido's two year 'Formation Professionale' in Toulouse, France. In a process of undoing, exposing and expressing Dawa's concepts of what it meant to be on the stage were given a thorough beating as only the French know how! Continuing his sejourn in Europe Dawa performed in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Qatar and Israel.
During a four day firework experiment Dawa encountered his third and most jaw breaking love ... They soon went on to form 'Wobbly Spoon' and have since trekked across three continents ... and counting!
While in China, 'Wobbly Spoon' was enchanted by the ancient culture and healing arts of Qi Gong and in 2016 completed their teacher training with 'Wandering Dao Medical Qi Gong School'. They have since been fusing forms, creating spontaneous performance art and running self healing workshops around the world.
