Qi Nei Zang with No Mi Che
Qi (or Chi) is the energy that moves throughout our body’s internal channels, nervous system, organs, glands and blood vessels. These systems cross paths and concentrate in the abdomen. Physical tensions, mental agitation and emotional stresses accumulate there and unless dispersed can cause physical entangling, knotting of the nerves, blood vessels and lymph nodes which obstruct energy circulation.
Ancient Taoists recognized that negative emotions cause serious damage to one’s health, impairing both physical and spiritual functions. They understood that each human emotion is an expression of energy and that blocking this energy is the root cause of many physical ailments. For example, a knot in the stomach indicates the presence of worry, a negative emotion that accumulates in the stomach, spleen and pancreas.
A Qi Nei Zang treatment begins with gentle oil massage of the abdomen, which becomes deeper throughout the session. It involves penetration of Chinese acupressure points located in the abdomen, with focused attention on the small intestine, large intestine, kidneys, liver, spleen, pancreas. Ancient Taoist medicinal healing sounds are also used through the session to help disperse and tone the quality of energy of each of these organs.
“I had the absolute pleasure of receiving a Qi Nei Zang massage from this wonderful and gifted woman. The massage space was beautifully prepared, and it became apparent very quickly that No Mi is that special mix of therapist who is extremely proficient, and cares deeply about her client. I was instantly at ease and No Mi’s touch was just perfect from start to end. She also had some intuitive messages for me after the massage, as well as information about different emotions and where I was storing them, things to release and focus on after the massage – which was a great bonus and I always love that from a massage experience :) It just takes the whole thing to a more deeper level. If you are so blessed to meet this magician, a massage with her is not something to pass up on!”
